Dr. Karta Kaske appointed as the Director General of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute and Dr. Abiyot Berhanu appointed as the Deputy Director General of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute. They were introduced to the management members on March 26, 2025.

Former leaders of the institute, Dr. Melesse Maryo and Dr. Feleke Woldeyes, recalled the achievements with detailed information on the activities that have been started and those that need to be completed. They also expressed their gratitude for their time.

The new Director General and Deputy Director General emphasized that they will work diligently to complete the tasks that have been started and need to be completed, as well as to enhance the key role that the institute plays in the growth and prosperity of our country.

It is worth noting that Dr. Karta Kaske has been working as the Director of the Ethiopian Agricultural Research Institute, and Dr. Abiyot Berhanu has been working as the Chief Executive Officer of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute.
