The NBP-Ethiopia, as a multi-stakeholder\u2019s platform, gives prime importance to engaging in undertakings related to conservation of biodiversity and maintenance of ecosystem services. In line with NBP-Ethiopia aspires to work in collaboration with local stakeholders and international partners. While the parliaments, standing committees, sector ministries, federal and regional government organizations, academic institutions, research and conservation institutions, the private sector, non-governmental organizations, religious forms, youth and women associations, local communities, and the media constitute local stakeholders and represented as a member of the Platform, The Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), IPBES, \u00a0United Nations Environment Programme-World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC), United Nations Development Program (UNDP), United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), International Climate Initiative (IKI)- Germany, \u00a0\u00a0The Horn of Africa Regional Environment Center & Network (HoAREC&N), German Development Cooperation (GIZ) identified as international partners.<\/p>

The collaboration so far has started to yield some results and this is particularly linked to enhancing the functioning of the NBP-Ethiopia particularly through implementation of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Network- Phase II (BES-Net II) and the Capacity Development for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services <\/em>(CABES) project.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In order to meet its objectives as aspired, NBP-Ethiopia shall be guided by a midterm strategy that provides a framework for ensuring its sustainability.\u00a0 Active participation of stakeholders, creating synergy of efforts exerted by all concerned, mobilizing finance and other resources from all sources, materializing communication on diverse issues and across all levels, and executing effective monitoring and periodical evaluation constitute the pillar components of strategy intended to be developed.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
