A rich microbial diversity is anticipated in the country but a lack of adequate attention and skilled experts hampers the discovery and utilization of microbial genetic resource in organized ways. Microbial Biodiversity RLO strengthen partially in expertise and materials beginning from 2004 E.C. Currently the RLO has 5 case team (Research unit) Bacteria BDGC, Fungus BDGC, Algae BDGC, Protozoa&amp; Virus BDGC, Microbial Gene bank case team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Current status of microbial culture collection:&nbsp;<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 14px; color: var( --e-global-color-text );\">EX-situ \u2013 Conservation&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Bacteria<\/b>=(872), <b>Fungi<\/b>=(390) and <b>Microalgae<\/b>=50<\/p>\n<p><b>Total&nbsp;<\/b>= 1,312<\/p>\n<p>Anyone can use conserved microbial genetic resources to pursue research and development following institutional procedures.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dff740a e-grid e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\"
