On August 15-16, 2023, there was a discussion about the implementation of the 2015 plan and the 2016 budget plan with the management members and center coordinators at the institute’s meeting hall.

In his opening speech, the Director General of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute, Dr. Melesse Maryo, presented in detail the achievements and challenges of 2015, as well as the activities to be carried out in the future.

Mr. Masresha Yemane, Executive Officer of Strategic Affairs, presented the Institute’s 2015 Plan Implementation Report and 2016 Budget Allocation Plan for discussion.

Mrs. Almaz Kebede, the Management Chief Executive Officer, presented the gaps seen in each center in terms of procurement and finance, human resources, basic services and management in 2015. Mr. Girum Faris, Centers and Botanical Gardens Coordinator, presented the 2015 Center Supervision Report for discussion.

The concerned bodies gave answers to the questions, and the discussion completed with the centers sharing the 2016 activities plan with the chief executives.
