On the morning of July 31, 2025, the management members and staff of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute (EBI) reached the Tuludimtu area of Sheger sub-city to plant their green footprint. Before the planting program, Ambassador Shiferaw Shigute (Dr.), Commissioner of the Ethiopian Cooperatives Commission, Karta Kaske (Dr.), Director General of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute, and officials of the Sheger City Administration delivered messages.
The Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute stated that the land acquired in the Tuludimtu area was damaged and needed to be restored quickly in addition to planting seedlings. Seven types of five thousand indigenous seedlings were planted at the site.
In total, the institute has been able to plant 12,000 indigenous seedlings in three rounds, as well as many more seedlings in other centers. The Director General of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute expressed gratitude towards the staff for their diligent participation.
