A delegation from the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute visited the renovation of a home for the disabled in Gelan Guda Sub-district, Sheger City.

Mrs. Almaz Kebede, the Chief Executive Officer of the institution, led the delegation and expressed her appreciation for the supervision and support of the experts and the executive bodies of the sub-district and woreda. She stated that the project is progressing well.

Mr. Masresha Yamene, Executive Officer of Strategic Affairs, visited the site on September 20, 2025, to inspect the status of the project. He did so in close consultation with the relevant parties and aimed to complete and hand over the houses within 3 months.

In Sheger City, the Deputy Executive Officer of Gelan Guda Sub-city, and in particular the Head of the Daliti Woreda Housing Development Office, Mrs. Iman Usman Gunja, expressed her happiness on behalf of the sub-city, woreda, and the surrounding community for the people-oriented work carried out. She also expressed her gratitude to the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute.

Additionally, the CEO of the City Water and Energy Department was present and expressed his gratitude to the Biodiversity Institute. He stated that they will do their part to repair the water line so that there are no obstacles or delays in the process of demolishing and rebuilding the house.
