The Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework Implementation Working Group held a discussion on Saturday, April 06, 2024, at the Pyramid Hotel in Bishoftu.

Dr. Melesse Maryo, Director-General of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute, presented the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework document.

Dr. Misikire Tessema, Coordinator of the Early Action Service (EAS) Project, presented a document on the goals, components, and outcomes of the global biodiversity framework. Dr. Feleke Woldeyes, Deputy Director-General of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute, moderated the discussion, during which various ideas, comments, and questions were raised. 

Responses were provided to the questions, and the working group confirmed its readiness to prepare and report on the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Plan in accordance with internationally established guidelines and formats.
