A discussion was held with the staff of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute on April 01, 2025, regarding the current national document.

A discussion document titled “The Fruits of Reform and Hopes for Tomorrow” covering national political, economic, social, institutional reform, and diplomatic issues was presented and discussed by Ms. Etifwork Zewdu.

Constructive suggestions regarding the document were also submitted by the staff, and questions were raised and responses were provided by the relevant bodies. Dr. Abiyot Berhanu, Deputy Director General of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute, responded to the questions and presented in detail the activities that should be carried out in the future.

He reminded that it is necessary to update procedures, make research results accessible, continue outstanding activities that have been started, strengthen green legacy preparatory activities, make the institution’s facility’convenient for users, implement payment guidelines, and benefit employees by bringing in projects.

Dr. Karta Kaske, Director General of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute, said that all activities should be carried out with the future generations in mind, adding that we will work tirelessly to move Ethiopia forward together. He added that we should all look to ourselves and that every worker should contribute to national change.
