Ato Masresha Yemane, Executive of Strategic Affairs at the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute, presented the implications of the global economic trend on Ethiopia and the institution’s 9-month performance report to the staff.
He presented the reform of our country’s economic and government institutions and diplomatic issues with the planning and implementation of institutions in terms of change, results, and growth, and have highlighted the role of government employees.He summarized the secret of our competitiveness in terms of stable macroeconomics and productivity, especially in the agricultural sector, by comparing the results of two consecutive years of import and export trade.
The Minister of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Advisor, Ato Tareken Tsegie, led the discussion, along with Dr. Karta Kaske, Director General of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute, and Dr. Abiyot Berhanu, Deputy Director General of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute.The themes, constructive ideas, and questions raised by the staff in the document were particularly relevant to biodiversity research and study; seed collection and propagation; challenges focused on service and utilization, and the moderators provided promising responses in their respective roles.
Finally, Dr. Karta Kaske, Director General of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute, said that in order to bring about a significant change in the country’s economic development, we as workers should work tirelessly in our profession and solve challenges; after that, we should all look to ourselves; and each worker should contribute to national growth and prosperity.
