Summer Volunteer Service Held

The Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute (EBI) successfully held the construction of a house for the disabled in Sheger City Administration, Gelan Guda Sub-City, on August 28, 2025, as part of its summer volunteer service.

Dr. Karta Kaske, Director General of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute, stated that the institute aims to fulfill its social responsibility through human-centered activities, with plans for similar projects in the future.

Mrs. Boge Kene, the Chief Executive Officer of the Subdistrict Municipality, expressed gratitude on behalf of herself and the municipality for the support in renovating the housing.

Dr. Karta Kaske and Mrs. Boge Kene officially launched the construction of the disabled house, with the design now finalized and handed over.

Mr. Masresha Yemane, Executive Officer of Strategic Affairs, emphasized the importance of continued support for the students during their visit to the school.

Mr. Tadesse Assefa, a teacher at Geja Begna 1-8th grade school, shared the challenges he encountered during the visit.

After the school visit, Dr. Karta Kaske, the Director General of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute, pledged to provide support in any way he can.
