Children’s Day and White Ribbon Day were celebrated on December 08, 2022, under the coordination of Directorate of Women, Children and Youth Affairs of Ethiopia Biodiversity Institute.

Children’s Day was celebrated with the motto “Inclusion, for every child”. Mrs. Almaz Kebede, Director of the Directorate of Women, Children and Youth Affairs of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute, presented a document that includes international laws, children’s rights in domestic laws, when did World Children’s Day begin? alternative support, care for children and the main reasons that lead children to harmful living conditions.

In addition, the White Ribbon Day celebrated with the motto. “Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls”.  

The discussion was chaired by Mr. Mequanent Eyayu, the head of the director general’s office, and the employees raised various ideas and assured their support for its implementation
