The Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute carried out the Green legacy Program in Lemi Kura sub-city on July 10, 2023 which is a part of planting 500 million seedlings at a night.
Dr. Feleke Woldeyes, Deputy Director General of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute, launched the program and reminded that three million indigenous seedlings were prepared by the institute at the national level. He thanked all the staff for their participation.
Mr. Abera Seyoum, Forest & Range Land Plants Biodiversity Research Lead Executive Officer, pointed out that it is important not only to plant indigenous seedlings, but to take care of them sustainably.
The employees of the institute also expressed their happiness for making their mark as part of planting 500 million seedlings overnight.
