The Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute has carried out an indigenous seedling planting program with stakeholders

Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute conducted an indigenous seedling planting program on Monday, July 24, 2023 in the premises of Rege-Eyat secondary School, which was built by the office of First Lady Zinash Tayachew, Mamede Kebele, Abeshge District, Gurage Zone.

The program was attended by management members and staff of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute, Wolkite University representatives, Gurage Zone Environmental Protection Office staff, Abeshge district leaders, charity volunteers and local residents.

Regarding the program, various messages were presented by Dr. Melesse Maryo, Director General of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute, Dr. Feleke Woldeyes, Deputy Director General of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute, Dr. Yohannes Gebru, Vice President of Research and Community Services at Wolkite University. Ato Mehret Wonbarga of Gurage Zone Environmental Protection Office and Mr. Zemete Ayfokeru, the Abeshge District M/Administrator and the Head of the Agriculture Office, messages also presented.

A visit at the school was conducted and the program was completed with the thanks of the elders.
