The Crop and Horticulture Biodiversity Directorate has completed a database that gives up-to-date information about seed germination and gives training to the professionals.
Mr. Tewodros Worku, Director of the Information and Communication Technology Directorate of the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute, said the main reason for developing the database is to develop a new and modern data management system due to inadequate data management system.
He also said that a modern system has been set up to show accessible and easier information for officials to control the information. The system shows the extent of seed germination and how much information can be collected.
